Biases & Assumptions
Going into our research, we've come to the conclusion that we have our own biases and assumptions that will need to be controlled. Some of our assumptions are that all organic food is good for you, but is way too expensive for an average person to live off of. Another idea that we hold is that regular food is not healthy enough to eat at a constant rate, despite the fact that sometimes it tastes a lot better than organic food. Another bias we hold is that fast food, and typical food products, are more conveniently bought than organic food- since organic food isn't sold in all stores and can be more difficult to find. Through our research, we want to find whether or not our assumptions and biases are truthful or not. We need to keep a clear mind and allow for other ideas, which may contradict our own, in order to find out the truth.
